What does the week look like when we focus on the self-portrait? 

We tried to think of as many ways as we could to represent ourselves. Drawing, painting, writing, chalk pastels, wool roving, mixed media collage, photo collage, printing and soft sculpture.

Everything we make in some way is a self-portrait.

Endless possibilities with cardboard cut outs, shapes and a little bit of blue.

Whimsical, colorful Miro shapes became interlocking  pieces for three dimensional sculptures. This required patience and engineering to get these guys to balance!

Meanwhile, in Capitol Hill. Our five year old class is investigating Picasso faces and mastering the art of the profile making face in a face portraits.
